You put money in, it lowers your monthly costs and when you’re done, you get it all back.

Chateau Retirement Communities believes in flexibility and conscious wealth management. Our Buy-In Option upholds these values by helping you to lower your monthly costs of living on your terms and preserve capital.

How it works

You have the option to place a Buy-In investment that ranges from $100,000 to $500,000 depending on the apartment you choose. We use this payment to pay down our bank loan and we pass the savings on to you. After placing the Buy-In amount, your monthly rent is then adjusted for a 5% annual return on the investment. When you’re done living with us, we will refund your Buy-In Investment 100%. We will refund this amount when your apartment is resold or at the 1 year anniversary of your move out—Whichever occurs first.

Buy In Example # 1

  • Buy In Investment: $400,000
  • Normal monthly rent on unit selected: $4,000 per month
  • Rent rate after Buy In Investment: $2,333 per month
  • Monthly savings on rent: $1,667
  • Annual savings on rent: $20,000

Buy In Example # 2

  • Buy In Investment: $200,000
  • Normal monthly rent on unit selected: $4,000 per month
  • Rent rate after Buy In Investment: $3,167 per month
  • Monthly savings on rent: $833
  • Annual savings on rent: $10,000

The Fine Print
The Buy In Option is only available on apartments in our Bordeaux and Champagne Buildings and our Future Building “D.”
